Rozzpost

Description

Publish AI SEO content to WordPress reliably — even behind GoDaddy, Sucuri, or Cloudflare. No Application Password, no IP allowlisting.

This plugin is the WordPress half of Rozzpost, which writes SEO blog posts and social content for your business and publishes them on a schedule. You need a Rozzpost account to use it; the free plan includes 2 articles with no card. See how the integration works.

Most “auto-publish to WordPress” tools rely on the WordPress REST API and an Application Password, which many security plugins and hosting firewalls (Sucuri, GoDaddy Website Security, Cloudflare) block outright. Rozzpost Publisher flips the connection around: this plugin runs on your site and reaches out to Rozzpost on a schedule to pull your approved content, so there is nothing for your firewall to block and nothing to allowlist.

Once installed and connected with a key from your Rozzpost account, the plugin:

  • Periodically checks Rozzpost for approved content ready to publish
  • Creates the WordPress post or page (or a draft) with title, body, and featured content
  • Adds SEO meta (works alongside Yoast SEO and RankMath) and outputs schema.org markup in wp_head
  • Reports back to Rozzpost so the article is marked published with its live URL
  • Skips anything already published, so re-runs never create duplicates

What this plugin does NOT do

It never changes existing content on its own. Edits to existing posts (for example an internal link or structured data) happen only after you approve them in Rozzpost, and each one can be undone from Rozzpost.

External services

This plugin connects to the Rozzpost API, a third-party service, to publish your content. This connection is required for the plugin to work — without it there is no content to publish.

What it sends, and when:

  • On every scheduled pull, and when you click “Test connection” or “Run now”: your connect key, sent in a request header to authenticate your site.
  • After a post is published: the new post’s permalink (URL) and the Rozzpost content ID, so Rozzpost can mark that item as published and avoid sending it again.
  • Once a week, and when you click “Sync inventory now”: a list of your posts and pages (address, title, status, SEO title and description), so Rozzpost knows what is on your site.
  • At the same time, and only if your Rozzpost account asks for them: the paragraphs of your published posts and pages (their text with its HTML), so Rozzpost can suggest internal links that this plugin applies only after you approve them in Rozzpost.

What it receives: the approved article content you queued in Rozzpost (title, body, slug, SEO title/description, and schema.org markup), which the plugin uses to create the WordPress post.

All the requests above are made from your site outbound to https://api.rozzpost.com. Apart from the page list and paragraphs described above, the plugin does not send your site’s content or credentials.

Email sign-up box (only on posts where your Rozzpost account turned it on): it is a plain HTML form. When a visitor submits it, the visitor’s own browser sends what they typed (email address, and name if the form asks for it), which post the form is on and, if shown and ticked, the consent checkbox to https://api.rozzpost.com/api/v1/leads/capture. Rozzpost stores this as a lead in your Rozzpost account and records a one-way hash of the visitor’s IP address to limit abuse. If the visitor ticked the consent box, Rozzpost adds their address to the email list you chose in Rozzpost (for example Brevo, Mailchimp, MailerLite or Kit), which may send them a confirmation email. The form uses no cookies, no JavaScript and no other third-party service. You are responsible for telling your visitors about this in your own privacy notice.

Installation

  1. Install and activate the plugin (upload the zip via Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin), or install it from the WordPress.org plugin directory.
  2. In your WordPress admin, go to Settings > Rozzpost and paste the connect key generated in Rozzpost (open the brand you want to publish for and use the “Connect WordPress plugin” option to generate a key).
  3. Choose how often the plugin should check for new content (Check interval): Every 5 minutes, Every 15 minutes (the default for new installs), Hourly or Daily.
  4. In Rozzpost, approve a piece of content and choose “Send to WordPress.” On your next scheduled run — or by clicking “Run now” on the settings page — the post appears on your site.

FAQ

Where do I get a connect key?

Log in to your Rozzpost account, open the brand you want to publish for, and use the “Connect WordPress plugin” option to generate a connect key for this site. Paste it into the plugin’s settings page.

Does it work behind a firewall?

Yes. The plugin only makes outbound requests from your site to Rozzpost — it never exposes a new inbound endpoint or requires an Application Password. This means it works even when hosting firewalls or security plugins (Sucuri, GoDaddy Website Security, Cloudflare, etc.) block traditional REST API publishing.

What content is published?

Blog posts and pages that you have approved and sent from Rozzpost. You control what gets sent; the plugin only pulls what is already approved and queued for your site.

How often does it publish?

As often as the pull interval you set on the settings page (hourly or daily). You can also trigger an immediate check with the “Run now” button.

Change log

0.6.0

  • New: Check interval can be Every 5 minutes or Every 15 minutes as well as Hourly or Daily. New installs check every 15 minutes; existing sites keep their setting.
  • New: if a check is overdue (for example because WP-Cron is switched off on your host), the next visit to your site runs it once, after the page has been sent.
  • New: the plugin tells Rozzpost your site address, its settings page and the check interval, so Rozzpost can show when a post will appear and link you to Run now.
  • Fix: two checks can no longer run at the same moment.

0.5.0

  • New: the email sign-up box can show an optional, unticked checkbox asking visitors to join your email list. It only appears when your Rozzpost account turns it on.
  • New: Rozzpost can publish WordPress pages (from 0.4.0, included in this release).
  • Docs: the External services section now describes the email sign-up box.

0.4.0

  • New: Rozzpost can publish WordPress pages (for example an About or Services page) as well as posts. Pages are created without a category; title, text, address (slug) and SEO title and description work as they do for posts.
  • New: the plugin tells Rozzpost that it can publish pages, so Rozzpost offers pages only to sites running this version or later.
  • Pages are never given the lead form, and a page is not assigned to a default author who can’t edit pages. A site without the page type tells Rozzpost it can’t publish pages.
  • Fix: the check that stops a post being published twice now also looks at pages.

0.3.2

  • New: internal links you can approve. When your Rozzpost account asks for them, the plugin sends the paragraphs of your published posts and pages with your weekly page list, so Rozzpost can suggest a link inside an existing sentence and the plugin can apply it exactly (it never rewrites the sentence, and it skips the link if the paragraph changed in the meantime).
  • Fix: adding or undoing an internal link now changes only that one paragraph. Embedded videos, forms and code samples elsewhere in the post are kept exactly as they were, and if WordPress changes anything else while saving, the plugin puts the original back.
  • Fix: articles published by Rozzpost now keep every backslash (for example in code samples), and their schema.org markup keeps quotes and accented characters intact. WordPress removed these while saving, which could break the markup.
  • Fix: a link is never placed inside a shortcode, a button, code, a heading or other places where it would break the page.

0.3.1

  • Fix: the email sign-up box Rozzpost can add under your posts now shows its email field. WordPress removes form fields from post content, so the box is now added when the post is displayed instead of being saved inside the post.

0.3.0

  • Fix: instant indexing (IndexNow) now actually works. The verification key is served at your site’s root, which is the only location IndexNow accepts for submitting your post URLs; previously the key was stored in the media library, so every submission was rejected. Nothing to configure — the key arrives automatically and is never shown to visitors.
  • Note: instant indexing is unavailable when WordPress is installed in a subdirectory (example.com/blog/), because the required root key file cannot be served from there. Everything else works normally.

0.2.0

  • New: two-way change-feed ops — Rozzpost can now propose, and this plugin apply, targeted edits to existing content (alt text, schema, meta title/description, internal links, redirects, robots/llms.txt rules) on top of the original publish-only flow, with every applied change reversible from Rozzpost.
  • New: a capabilities handshake reports back to Rozzpost which change ops, SEO plugin, and content-rendering setup this site actually supports, so Rozzpost only ever proposes changes this install can apply.
  • New: a “Pause automation” switch on the settings page — while paused, changes queue in Rozzpost but nothing is applied to the site until you resume.

0.1.0

  • Initial release: connect-key setup, scheduled pull-based publishing, idempotent post creation, Yoast/RankMath SEO meta, schema.org output, and a settings page with test connection and status panel.
